Stilus is a multilingual proofreading tool to revise texts written in Spanish, English, French and Italian. Additionally, it allows choosing a language variant (British English, Latin American Spanish…) for texts in Spanish and English.

Stilus for Spanish revises texts according to the usage norms established by the Spanish Royal Academy of Language (Real Academia Española) and recommended by the Foundation for Urgent Spanish (Fundéu) or the well-known manuals written by Martínez de Sousa (check our reference manuals).
Unlike other automatic proofreaders for Spanish, Stilus performs text verification in accordance with the last changes proposed by the Spanish Royal Academy and the Association of Spanish Language Academies in the new Ortografía de la lengua española, published in 2010.
You can also customize text revision whether or not you wish to take account of the specific language usages which are common in Latin American Spanish:

Stilus for English incorporates the usage norms established in The Chicago Manual of Style and The Oxford Style Manual among other linguistic authorities (check our reference manuals).
Unlike other automatic proofreaders, text revision can be focused on a specific language variant: American English or British English.

Stilus for French incorporates the latest suggestions made by the French Academy of Language, Le Robert dictionary and other linguistic authorities (check our reference manuals).
Stilus for Italian performs proofreading according to the latest suggestions made by the lo Zingarelli 2013, Il Nuovo Manuale di Stile by Roberto Lesina, among other language authorities (see our reference manuals).
You can revise multilingual texts using the Stilus Word add-in.
If you click on Automatic language detection, Stilus will respond according to the information provided by Microsoft Word on the language linked to each paragraph in the document.
